As part of our Kimberley Innovation Festival for our 2026 Science Week, this year’s Science Fair was a fantastic success! This year we had our biggest participation ever, with an amazing 73 entrants sharing their projects, investigations and discoveries. This Fair was a wonderful conclusion to our two day STEAM Innovation Festival.
A huge thank you to our judges for giving their time to speak with students and carefully assess each project. With so many excellent entries and some incredibly close scores, it was certainly not an easy job! We were blessed to have our City Country Partnership school judges from Chisolm Catholic College and Sacred Heart Primary School make the tough choices! We were also delighted to have our partnership Yadha Muru Foundation member, Aunty Bev join the learning and see what City Country partnerships can achieve for our communities.
Again, we would also like to sincerely thank Broome International Airport for their generous sponsorship and continued support of our Science Fair. Their contribution helps make opportunities like this possible for our students.
Thank you to all the families and staff who supported and encouraged our young scientists. Most importantly, congratulations to every student who gave up their time to participate, investigate, create and share their learning, dream design and do in action!
While we celebrate our winners and runners-up below, the Science Fair is about much more than winning or losing. It is about being curious, asking questions, trying new things and learning through science. Every student who participated should be proud of what they achieved and their incredible innovation. A huge thankyou to Mr Jake who leads this event with such effort, enthusiasm and a whole lot of science fun!
