Our Year Two students had an exciting day at the Broome Museum as part of their history learning. We discovered so many fascinating facts about Broome that we didn’t know before! Did you know that a pearl diver’s boots were incredibly heavy? We also learnt about the different types of pearls and how divers carefully opened the pearl shells. One of the biggest surprises was finding out that dinosaurs once roamed Broome—we even saw the size of their footprints! We also learned about the Broome War and its impact on the town. It was a fantastic day full of learning and discovery!
