On Friday, 21st March, students from St Mary’s College had a blast at the All Abilities Carnival at the BRAC. What a way to spend Harmony Day! This event was all about inclusivity, giving everyone a chance to shine in various sports and we loved it! Our Wiriny Buru and Jarrayirr Buru were the stars of the show!
Our K-12 students enjoyed playing netball, soccer, tennis, and football, with each game adjusted so everyone could join in. Our students were INCREDIBLE and had a fantastic time learning new skills and spending time with friends.
A big thank you to the volunteers and school staff who made this event a success with their support and enthusiasm. We could not be more thankful and impressed with our staff – they are truly the BEST! Special thanks to the Broome Shire for organising such a wonderful day.
We can’t wait for more events like this in the future, where every student can participate, learn, and have fun! We were so impressed with the way our students demonstrated our college values of Courage, Love, Empathy, Acceptance and Resilience.
