Week 9 and 10 were exciting weeks for our College as we welcomed staff from Sacred Heart Highgate and Chisholm College as part of our Country Partnership supported by the Yadhu Muru Foundation.
The visiting educators from Sacred Heart Highgate provided professional learning sessions, during week 9 focused on STEM, equipping our teachers with strategies and techniques to enhance the curriculum. They also collaborated closely with our STEAM team, offering valuable assistance and guidance as we prepare our showcase project for the upcoming CEWA STEM showcase in Perth this August. We managed to head down to Cable Beach for a clean-up to help with ideas for the project and be active citizens in the community.
During Week 10, the visiting educators from Chisolm College ran a series of engaging workshops for students and provided invaluable support to our teachers in the classroom. Additionally, they joined our staff including cultural pillar leader Michelle Hamaguchi and Ben Court with students on a journey to Crab Creek for a rich cultural immersion experience, learning about local traditions and the natural environment. This visit not only strengthened our educational practices but also deepened the cultural exchange and mutual understanding between our schools. Thank you to our staff and students for continuing to support this partnership.
