We were proud and grateful to welcome four dedicated educators from Mercy College Perth, along with their Principal, Mrs Lisa Fogliani who have joined our college community for a week to share their expertise, provide relief support, and engage in a meaningful partnership grounded in mutual respect and two-way learning about the unique spirit and quality that both of our Colleges offer.

This collaboration is a shining example of the strong and growing relationship between our two Catholic schools, united by shared values and a commitment to excellence in education. The visiting Mercy College teachers bring with them a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspectives, enriching our classrooms and professional learning spaces alike.

Miss Coby Rhatigan, College Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support:
“This partnership is more than just professional support – it’s a relationship built on trust, professional partnerships, and a shared mission to nurture every student’s potential. We are learning from each other in ways that are deeply enriching for staff, students and communities alike.”

The visiting teachers have seamlessly integrated into the college community, working alongside our staff to co-teach, mentor, and collaborate on curriculum development. Their presence has also provided valuable relief for our hardworking educators across our campuses, allowing for reflection, renewal, and continued growth at this busy time of term.

Equally important is the spirit of two-way learning that defines this partnership. The Mercy College team have embraced the opportunity to learn from the unique cultural and educational context of St Mary’s College, gaining insights into local knowledge, First Nations perspectives, and the vibrant community spirit and educational excellence that defines our College.

This exchange is a testament to the power of connection and the strength of Catholic education networks across Western Australia. As the partnership continues to flourish, both colleges look forward to deepening their collaboration and continuing to walk together in faith, learning, and shared purpose.
