Our College came alive this week with curiosity, creativity, and scientific wonder during National Science Week, thanks to the incredible efforts of our amazing students and our Maths & Science Team. The week was packed with hands-on activities, engaging challenges, and unforgettable learning experiences that sparked excitement across the campus.
Students explored the ingenuity of traditional knowledge through Deadly Fish Traps, dissected invasive species in Cane Toad Dissections, and cracked codes in the thrilling Stile Escape Room. The excitement continued with DNA Modelling, a Homeroom Science Quiz & Fun Facts Challenge, and a special session on DNA Barcoding led by guest scientist Jeremy Beerkens, whose insights captivated budding biologists.
Classrooms were transformed into laboratories as students conducted a variety of experiments, diving deep into the wonders of chemistry, biology, and physics. From bubbling reactions to microscopic investigations, the spirit of scientific inquiry was alive and thriving.
A huge thank you to the Maths & Science Team for orchestrating such a phenomenal week. Their dedication and creativity made Science Week a memorable celebration of learning and exploration for all.
