St Mary’s College Broome came together in a spirit of faith, community, and celebration for the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast. Students from Kindergarten to Year 12 enjoyed a morning of delicious pancakes, marking the beginning of the Lenten season with joy and reflection.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for students, staff, and families to connect and embrace the tradition of Shrove Tuesday, which serves as a time of preparation for Lent. With the generous support of incredible staff, families and student leaders, pancakes were served fresh and warm, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.
This is a significanct event in our liturgical calendar, as Shrove Tuesday is a special time where we gather in unity, reflect on our faith, and share in the joy of giving. The Pancake Breakfast is a beautiful tradition that strengthens our sense of belonging and community and preparation.
