Our Secondary Campus came gathered together with great pride and joy as our entire secondary campus community gathered for the Semester One Awards and Celebration Assembly, marking a powerful moment of reflection, recognition, and renewed purpose as Term 3 begins. Our SRC leaders led this celebration with grace and poise. We were delighted to have so many families join us and celebrate the achievements of our exceptional young people.

The tone for our Assembly was one of gratitude, growth, and celebration. Ms Coby shared with students that they each contribute to the life of our College in their own unique way, encouraging us to celebrate not only the big achievements but also the quiet acts of kindness, the courage to try something new, and the resilience to keep going. These are the moments that shape who you are becoming living out of college values.

The assembly honoured students who exemplified the College’s core expectations of Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness, with awards spanning academic excellence, leadership, service, and personal growth. The celebration also spotlighted individual and team achievements that reflect the spirit and strength of our community.

We celebrated individual excellence, Among the standout moments were:
Tai Gibson was honoured for winning the Bob Hawke Capacity for Leadership Award at the Indigenous Australian Engineering Summer School, recognising his contributions to both the program and our community.
Lei Yuen was celebrated for her selection to the Catholic Education WA Student Advisory Council, where she will help shape the future of Catholic education across the state.
Gene Burton shared reflections from his incredible experience representing the NT BN in the Australian Army Cadets UK Exchange, highlighting personal growth, teamwork, and cultural exploration.

The College also celebrated its Kimberley Cup champions, with students showing resilience, sportsmanship, and teamwork:
Mixed AFL – Champion Team
• Classio Manson – Male MVP in Mixed AFL and AFL
• Iiarnie Tax – Female MVP in Mixed AFL
Fletcher Moase – MVP in Volleyball
• Maggie Cox – MVP Girls Basketball
• CC Dann – Runner-up MVP Girls Basketball
• Ester Trenton – MVP Mixed Soccer and Runner-up MVP Girls Soccer
• JR Abanes – Runner-up MVP Mixed Volleyball

We also celebrated our creativity and compassion:
We recognised two teams who took part in the Write a Book in a Day challenge, crafting imaginative stories in just 12 hours to be shared with children in hospitals across Australia. Their efforts raised funds for vital research and brought joy to young readers. These students showed resilience, creativity, and deep empathy, with their words having the power to uplift and inspire.

As Term 3 begins, students were encouraged to set meaningful goals and live out the College’s values more deeply. Ms Coby reminded us all that this is the year of hope and challenged students to make Term 3 a time of growth, gratitude, and great things. Even those students not called to the stage were reminded of their value and potential. Ms Coby reminded all students that we see you, and we are proud of you, encouraging students to work together with grateful hearts to make this semester the very best it can be.
