Our College is proud to congratulate Gene Burton, a current Year 11 student, on his selection for the 2025 United Kingdom Army Cadet International Exchange Program — a prestigious and highly competitive opportunity that recognises leadership, dedication, and excellence.
Gene, who holds the rank of Cadet Sergeant, will represent both his region and Australia as part of an international delegation that includes cadets from Australia, Estonia, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and the United Kingdom.
“Congratulations Cadet Sergeant Gene Burton who has been selected as a successful applicant for the 2025 Australian Army Cadets United Kingdom Exchange Program,” said Colonel Linda Galloway, of the Australian Army Cadets. “This is a prestigious opportunity to represent your region and Australia in a unique international experience.”
From 24/25 June to 18/19 July 2025, Gene will travel to the United Kingdom where he will participate in a range of enriching activities, including:
- Adventurous training
- A week of military skills training with the UK Army Cadet Training Teams
- Cultural experiences and visits to iconic historical sites in London
The Australian delegation will be hosted by the Headquarters Regional Command of the UK Army Cadets, with all expenses generously covered by the United Kingdom.
