International Women’s Day was a heartfelt occasion at our College for 2025, filled with vibrant celebrations, powerful messages, and a strong sense of unity. Our students and staff came together to honour the achievements of women and to reaffirm our commitment to gender equality.

Our College was awash with a sea of purple, as both students and staff proudly wore the colour to symbolise justice and dignity. The colour choice was a visual representation of our solidarity and dedication to the important gender equality cause.

One of the highlights of the day was the Year 6 Assembly, which was an inspiring event dedicated to the themes of equality and empowerment for women in the workplace and sports. The students put on a thoughtful presentation, challenging stereotypes and encouraging the audience to think about gender bias. Students were called upon to share what they admired about the women in their lives. The assembly underscored the importance of continued advocacy for gender equality.

In our classrooms across our college, students and staff took the opportunity to share stories about women who have made a significant impact on their lives. From historical figures and public personalities to family members and mentors, the admiration and respect for these women were palpable. These meaningful testimonials highlighted the diverse contributions of women across different spheres of life and served as a reminder of the powerful role models who inspire us every day. We also saw our Digital Champions across our College do our own testimonial interviews on some of our incredible staff!

Overall, International Women’s Day 2025 was a day of reflection, celebration, and commitment. Our college community’s enthusiasm and engagement in the day’s events demonstrated our collective dedication to creating a more equitable world for women and girls.

Here’s to the women who inspire us, the progress we’ve made, and the journey ahead. 💜
