Our Podcast Club students attended the Local Legends Podcast Launch last week, gaining insights into podcasting, careers, and wellbeing.
It was an unforgettable evening of reflection as the students explored Broome’s past, present and future and celebrated the launch of Goolarri’s new podcast, Local Legends. This series dives into the rich tapestry of Broome’s history through casual conversations with the very people who have shaped it.
The student’s favourite Local Legend was Albert Wiggan, who shared fun stories from his childhood on Kennedy Hill and his experiences in sports and arts. Our students displayed great empathy and curiosity, asking many questions to a couple married for over 40 years. The evening concluded with a wonderful dinner.
