We are thrilled to announce the installation of a new swing in Wiriny Buru, generously funded by the Parents and Friends (P&F) group. This wonderful addition is located in a space that all our students can access for Breakfast Club, during recess and lunchtime, and serves as the learning support area for students with extra needs and disabilities.
The swing offers numerous benefits, including providing a calming effect and helping students regulate their emotions, making them ready to learn. It has quickly become a favourite among the students, who have shared their excitement and appreciation.
One student remarked, “The swing is amazing and fun for people to go on. I do like to have a lot of fun with friends on swings, but I also like going on myself and swinging for me.” Another student simply said, “The swing makes me happy.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the P&F for their generous donation and to the maintenance staff for their hard work in installing the swing. This new addition is already making a positive impact on our students’ well-being and learning experience.
