Our College proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week 2025 under the inspiring theme ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.’ The week was an incredible showcase of cultural pride and joy, community spirit and student leadership, led by our K-12 Cultural Action Team Leader, Ms Janenell, our Cultural Pillar Leaders, Ms Sarah and Mr Aaron, along with Aboriginal Teaching Assistants and Teachers whose guidance and dedication made the celebrations truly meaningful for us all.
Throughout the week, students participated in on-country excursions, connecting and learning about the stories and significance of land and caring for country. The college hosted art installations, craft workshops, and sporting events.
A highlight was the sharing of delicious local cuisine, where we gathered to enjoy bush foods and traditional dishes prepared with care and cultural knowledge. These moments of sharing and storytelling brought our community closer together.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Cultural Pillar Leaders, Aboriginal TAs, and teachers, whose leadership and passion ensured that NAIDOC Week was not only a celebration but a powerful learning experience for all. They truly are the best in the business! Their commitment to nurturing the next generation continues to shape a legacy of strength, vision, and unity.
As the week concludes, the spirit of NAIDOC lives on in the hearts of students and staff, reminding us all of the importance of culture, connection, and carrying forward the stories that shape our future. We could not be prouder of the respectful way our students embraced this learning and the way our dedicated staff shared with such generosity!
