As we begin 2025, we are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all families to join our Parents and Friends (P&F) Group and our School Advisory Council. Both of these groups are pivotal to the success of our College community; working in partnership with our College to ensure the very best for our students, families and wider community.
Parents and Friends
Our Parents and Friends plays a vital role in fostering a strong sense of community and connection within our College. It is through the collaborative efforts of our dedicated parents and friends that we can create a nurturing and supportive environment for our students. Your involvement in the P&F not only enriches the educational experience of your children but also strengthens the bonds that make St Mary’s College a special place.
This year, we are particularly excited to celebrate the wonderful connections and community spirit that our P&F helps to build. By joining the P&F, you will have the opportunity to:
• Participate in school events and activities: From organising fundraisers to supporting school functions, your contributions will make a significant impact.
• Share your ideas and talents: Your unique skills and perspectives are invaluable in helping us create a vibrant and inclusive community.
• Build lasting relationships: Connect with other families, staff, and students, and form friendships that will last a lifetime.
• Support our students: Your involvement directly benefits our students, enhancing their educational journey and fostering a sense of belonging.
We are delighted to invite both new and returning families to a special Afternoon Tea Event before the Annual Community meeting this year. This event will be held on Friday 14th March at 2:15pm in our Primary Staff Lounge . It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and friends, enjoy a delicious afternoon high tea, and learn more about how you can get involved with the P&F.
We invite you to attend our P&F Annual Community Meeting on Monday 17th March 2025, in our Secondary Staff Lounge. This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the P&F, meet other parents and friends, and discover how you can get involved.
School Advisory Council
Our School Advisory Council is a collaborative body that works closely with the College leadership to provide guidance and support on various aspects of College life across our wonderful K-12 College. By joining this team of committed parents, you will have the opportunity to:
• Contribute to Decision-Making: Share your ideas and feedback on important college policies and initiatives.
• Enhance Student Experience: Help us create a nurturing and enriching environment for all students.
• Strengthen Community Bonds: Build stronger connections with other families, staff, and the broader college community.
• Support College Strategic Development: Assist in planning and implementing projects that benefit our college.
We understand that your time is precious, and we greatly appreciate any level of involvement you can offer. Whether you can attend regular meetings or contribute in other ways, your participation will make a significant difference to these parent groups.
