We “Wrote a Book in a Day!“
Creativity, collaboration, compassion and working to the clock were on full display as two teams of secondary students took part in the national Write a Book in a Day competition. The challenge, which tasks students with writing, illustrating, and submitting a complete book within just 12 hours, is not only a test of storytelling skill, it is also a fundraiser for children’s cancer research.
Working against the clock, both teams embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and teamwork. From brainstorming imaginative plots to crafting engaging characters and vibrant illustrations, students poured their energy into creating books that will be shared with children in hospitals across Australia. The event also served as a meaningful fundraiser, very close to our hearts with students raising money to support vital research and bring joy to young readers facing serious health challenges.
We are beyond proud of our students, they demonstrated resilience, creativity, and a deep sense of empathy. It’s inspiring to see them use their talents to make a positive impact. Our staff are to be commended, led by Mr Tim for their commitment and dedication over the morning, noon and night to support these passionate teams.
