One of our latest additions to our commitment in our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) journey is our outdoor play initiatives. This has been generously supported by our Parents and Friends (P&F) Group. These opportunities and focused resources are designed to enhance our positive school environment and promote active engagement among our students.
Outdoor play is crucial for the development of gross motor skills and overall physical health. Thanks to the P&F, we have been able to expand our outdoor play resources, including new equipment and games for both the upper primary and early learning centre. These resources are available for borrowing, ensuring that all students have access to engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
Our generous support from our P&F contributions have enabled us to launch our Outdoor play shed and early learning centre resourcing.
Our PBS focuses on encouraging positive behaviour through a structured framework that includes clear expectations, consistent reinforcement, and supportive interventions inside and outside of our classrooms – teaching and encouraging expected behaviours all the time! Our PBS shed is a dedicated space where students can access resources to help engage, include everyone and stay active! This initiative is particularly beneficial for our upper primary students, providing them with opportunities to have fun together in a supportive environment with awesome resources!
Our students are benefiting immensely from these resources already. The PBS shed and outdoor play resources are already making a positive impact, fostering a sense of community and engagement across the campus. We are grateful to our committed P&F.
