We came together this week on each of our campuses to celebrate Clean Up Australia Day as part of our commitment to Laudato Si in Action, and what a fantastic effort it was! Students from Kindergarten to Year 12 participated in a friendly and fun activities to raise awareness and respect for this important cause! Our desire to make a difference e saw students and staff rolling up their sleeves to make a real difference by collecting rubbish around our College grounds.

The event buzzed with energy as students worked hard, showing incredible teamwork and commitment to keeping our environment clean and green. Brightly coloured house shirts could be seen scattered across the college grounds, as everyone joined forces to hunt down and clean up every scrap of litter.

It was a tight race on secondary with a focused house competition, with all the houses putting in an extraordinary effort. In the end, it was Rice House that emerged victorious, having collected the most rubbish! Their dedication and enthusiasm earned them the ultimate reward—an icy pole for every team member. A well-deserved treat after a job well done!

Clean Up Australia Day was not only a great opportunity for some friendly house and class rivalry but also a wonderful way to build environmental awareness in our College community. A big thank you to all our secondary House Ambassadors, our primary Faith and Mission pillar leader, our students, and staff for making the event such a success. Together, we made a difference—let’s keep up the great work and continue caring for our college, community and the planet!
