The annual Combined Broome School Choir Day was a resounding success, bringing together over 150 enthusiastic students from all primary schools across Broome. Held in celebration of NAIDOC Week, the event focused on learning and performing the official 2025 NAIDOC song, fostering unity, cultural appreciation, and musical collaboration among the young voices of our community.

Our College was proudly represented by a talented group of students who not only showcased their musical abilities but also embodied the values and spirit of our college throughout the day.

The day was filled with joyful energy, featuring a variety of fun and engaging activities that kept spirits high and friendships growing. From rhythm games to collaborative workshops, students had the opportunity to connect with peers from other schools while deepening their understanding of the song’s cultural significance.

Staff  commended the exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm of all students. Their dedication and respect for the event’s purpose reflected the values we hold dear at SMC. Miss Brigid and Mr Ryan were certainly proud of our College choir.

Congratulations to all involved for making the 2025 Choir Day a memorable and meaningful celebration of music, culture, and community, making our community a very special place. Looking forward to seeing all students and St Mary’s College Choir perform and share their talents on Friday at the National Reconciliation March.
