Our Wiriny Buru Science students kicked off their Chemical Sciences unit with a fun, hands-on slime-making activity! They mixed different ingredients and experienced firsthand how they interact to create something new. As they observed changes in texture and consistency, they built a foundation in chemistry while also developing curiosity in Science.
Through their learning, students recognised that Chemical science education in schools is crucial for fostering a strong foundation in scientific principles and encouraging critical thinking. The hands-on experiments are a vital part of learning chemistry, allowing our students to observe chemical reactions, practice safe handling of chemicals, and develop practical skills!
