In a special display of faith and reflection, students from St Mary’s College participated in the annual Journey to the Cross, a K-12 event that brings our Easter story to life through dramatic reenactments of the Stations of the Cross.
Gathering as a college community, students embraced their roles with sincerity and devotion, portraying key moments from Jesus’ final journey. Each scene was thoughtfully acted out, fostering a deep sense of connection to the story’s true meaning of Holy Week. Our College Choir and solo performance from one of our Year 12 students brought reverance and reflection.
Teaching teams worked tirelessly to guide students in understanding the significance of each station, ensuring that every portrayal was both respectful and emotionally engaging. The event allowed students of all ages to reflect on themes of sacrifice, love, and hope, reinforcing the core values of the college’s catholic education.
There was a deep appreciation for the Easter message, strengthening our sense of community and spiritual connection.
The Journey to the Cross has long been a cherished tradition at our College, offering students and our community a powerful, immersive way to engage with Holy Week. As the Easter season commences, the echoes of this heartfelt story will continue to inspire reflection and gratitude within our college and beyond.
