Becoming Career Curious

School News

June 5, 2025

On Thursday and Friday of last week Year 9s donned their PPE, aprons and gloves in order to try a range of career possibilities at North Regional TAFE. Students were able to attend three sessions across the two days, ‘tasting’ a range of industries including hospitality, automotive, business, aged care, horticulture, maritime and music. Responses from the students ranged from, “I didn’t know how much I would love this!” to, “I know this is not the career choice for me!”. The purpose of the state wide program is to engage students in career conversations and promote career curiousness, encouraging students to consider the wide range of future focused career opportunities open to them. Thanks to NRTAFE for their planning for and welcoming of our students.
