2025 House Swimming Carnival Spirit!

School News

March 27, 2025

This year’s House swimming carnival was a great success, we had a surprise storm early in the morning which made the conditions pleasant around the pool, although it did heat up later in the day which meant that we had lots of participants entering events on the day to help receive points for their house and give them a winning chance.

This year we added some chances to have a free swim to get as many students in the pool as possible throughout the day. This was welcomed by the students and allowed for them to stay cool and ready for their events. It was great to see such great sportsmanship and house spirit throughout the day. All of our teachers were fantastuc and we need to thank each and everyone of them for their support on the day, along with all our families who came to support their children at this College event.

With the introduction of House Ambassadors this year, we really saw an increase in house spirit and competition between the houses.

It was the closest battle for top two most of day, but the eventual winners were RICE, taking out a commanding lead with the relays. Congratulations to all RICE students, staff and our House Ambassador, Mr Tom for taking out the swimming carnival in his first year in charge. The order of winning houses below:

Rice –  641

Ward – 541

Barbier – 451

O’Brien – 369
