The start of a new school year is always a time of great anticipation, and at St Mary’s College, the excitement has been a ripple of hope and joy as students returned to our college, eager to reconnect with friends and teachers and welcome new students, staff and families to our community.
From the first bell, the college grounds were buzzing with laughter, enthusiasm, and a renewed sense of purpose. Staff were thrilled to see familiar faces and welcome new students into our community. Our Principal Miss Coby expressed how wonderful it has been to see the school come to life once again. “We are absolutely delighted to have our students back,” “The energy and joy they bring to our school is truly inspiring. Walking through the classrooms and our grounds, I have seen so many smiling faces, students engaging in their learning, and a real sense of belonging. This year promises to be one filled with new opportunities, challenges, and achievements, and I have no doubt that our students from K-12 will rise to every occasion.”
Teachers have wasted no time in getting students back into the rhythm of learning, with engaging lessons and activities already underway. From our early learning centre students through to senior secondary students, there has been a strong focus on setting goals and fostering a positive mindset for the year ahead.
Beyond academics, the St Mary’s College community is looking forward to a year filled with exciting extracurricular activities, sporting events, cultural celebrations, and opportunities for students to grow, thrive and flourish.
