St Mary’s College is celebrating a significant milestone as three of our beloved staff members – Josie Mazzulla, Anthea Demin, and Margie Bin Sali – who have been honoured for their remarkable 30 years of dedicated service to Catholic education. These three educators were recently recognised for their commitment and achievements at the Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) awards ceremony, highlighting their contributions to quality Catholic Education.

Over the past three decades Anthea Demin, Margie Bin Sali and Josie Mazzulla have become pillars of St Mary’s College and influential figures within our Broome community. Known for their unwavering dedication to fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment qith high expectations and success, they have helped shape the College’s incredible reputation for excellence and inclusivity. Their collective commitment to delivering a quality K-12 Catholic education is greatly appreciated and a credit all these three women.

Principal of St Mary’s College, Ms Coby Rhatigan, praised the honorees at our 2024 K-12 Presentation evening, saying, “Josie, Anthea, and Margie have made an incredible contribution to St Mary’s College and Catholic Education for 30 years, that’s a total of 90 years dedicated service to our College – what a selfless commitment and another example of what makes St Mary’s College such a special place”. They received an overwhelming round of applause from our community as Father Liam Ryan presented a bunch of flowers in recognition from our community.

Each of these staff members has contributed uniquely to St Mary’s, bringing their individual gifts, expertise, and unwavering faith to their roles. They have been a guiding light for our students, nurturing and challenging them. Their commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment has inspired their colleagues and students alike over the years. Their collective dedication to student, staff and family support has touched the lives of many in our community.

The recent CEWA awards ceremony held in Perth, brought together Catholic educators and leaders from across Western Australia, with Anthea Demin, Margie Bin Sali and Josie Mazzulla receiving heartfelt recognition and applause for their contributions. In acknowledging their exceptional service, CEWA representatives highlighted the trio’s dedication to Catholic values, community, and the mission of Catholic education.

St Mary’s College extends its deepest congratulations and heartfelt gratitude to Josie Mazzulla, Anthea Demin, and Margie Bin Sali for their exemplary 30 years of service.
