Traditional Academic Pathway:
For those who have completed their secondary education, the traditional academic pathway remains a popular choice. By achieving the necessary Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent, students can apply directly to their preferred universities and courses. Universities require an ATAR of 70 or higher to access their basic undergraduate degrees – please check with each university for the individual entry requirements for courses.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) Pathway:
The VET sector provides a practical and hands-on approach to learning, offering nationally recognized certificates, diplomas, and advanced diplomas. These qualifications not only equip you with valuable skills but also serve as a steppingstone to university, granting you credit towards higher education programs.

UniPath:
UniPath is a 4-week pathway program that upon successful completion will guarantee you direct entry into many undergraduate degree programs at the University of Notre Dame. It allows you to be a university student while still completing Year 12. You get to study on campus in 4 block weeks where you will complete studies in research and communication, academic writing, and fundamental Mathematics. UniPath will help you develop the skills and knowledge to allow for a smooth transition into your first year of study.

Alternate Entry Pathways:
Recognizing that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, Western Australia’s universities offer various alternate pathways. These may include portfolio submissions, interviews, and special consideration programs for applicants who have faced challenges or disadvantages.

Indigenous Pathways:Acknowledging the rich cultural diversity of Australia’s Indigenous communities, there are specific pathways that honour and support Indigenous students, ensuring they have the opportunity to pursue higher education in a culturally inclusive environment.
