On Thursday 3rd of April Year 6 students participated in the Garnduwa Basketball Carnival. Our boys’ and girls’ teams had the opportunity to represent St Mary’s on the day and they did it so well! Not only did both teams go through undefeated in the round robin, but all students showed exemplary behaviour – being kind, respectful and responsible, showing teamwork and great sportsmanship.
The girls team were narrowly beaten in the grand final and the boys team came away winners of the competition! What a wonderful opportunity for our students!
Our secondary students were referees for the day as part of their sport coaching learning program. They also showed exemplary behaviour and professional standards when engaging with the primary kids and Garnduwa staff. Congratulations to all of our students.
