Our Year 6 students have proudly unveiled their 2026 Leavers’ Shirts, marking a significant milestone as they prepare to complete their final year on our Primary Campus. More than just a uniform item, the shirts represent the leadership, teamwork, values and cultural identity that have already shaped this memorable year.
Throughout the design process, student voice played a central role, with students contributing ideas and working collaboratively to create a shirt that reflects who they are as a cohort. The result is a design and story that celebrates their shared journey, achievements and aspirations as they prepare for the transition to our secondary campus.
As the senior students of the Primary Campus, the Year 6 cohort has embraced opportunities to lead by example. Whether through formal leadership roles, supporting younger students, participating in College events or demonstrating responsibility in everyday college life, students have shown a commitment to the our colleges values of courage, love, empathy, acceptance and resilience through service and excellence.
A special feature of this year’s Leavers’ Shirt is the inclusion of the Year 6 class Yawuru symbols, Jiribuga and Gulamana. Their inclusion recognises and honours the rich cultural heritage of Yawuru people, language and culture and reflects our College’s commitment to cultural respect, learning and reconciliation. By proudly displaying these class names, students celebrate the importance of understanding and valuing the traditions and languages that are central to the local community.
The shirts also symbolise the strong sense of teamwork that has characterised the cohort throughout the year. From classroom learning and sporting events to cultural activities and community service opportunities, students have worked together to support one another and contribute positively to the College community.
Our Leavers’ Shirts are a fitting reflection of the Year 6 students and their journey. Our Year 6 students have demonstrated outstanding leadership, a willingness to listen to and respect each other’s voices, and a commitment to living our College values, we are very proud of them all. As our Year 6 students prepare for the next stage of their educational journey, the 2026 Leavers’ Shirts will serve as a lasting reminder of friendships formed, lessons learned and the shared experiences.
