Last week, our Year 12 students travelled to Eco Beach for their annual Retreat, taking time to reflect, reconnect and prepare for the journey ahead.
Inspired by the Gospel story of the Road to Emmaus, the theme On the Road encouraged students to consider who they have been, who they are becoming, the relationships that shape them, and the hopes they hold for the future. It was an opportunity to encounter themselves, one another and God in a deeper way.
With perfect weather and a stunning coastal setting, the week was filled with memorable experiences. Highlights included kayaking, quest games, incredible food, staff talks, and a special sunset Mass on the beach celebrated with Bishop Tim and Father Liam.
Throughout the retreat, students journeyed both individually and together. Conversations were honest, friendships grew stronger, and the cohort grew in connection and belonging. This retreat strongly reflects our Vision for Learning pillar of ENCOUNTER – Listening deeply, together in faith, creating space for students to reflect, listen and walk alongside one another. It is in experiences such as this that Catholic Education truly shines, walking with our young people through powerful moments of growth, reflection and transformation.
