Our college was filled with warmth, gratitude and celebration this week as the community came together in different ways to honour the incredible mothers and mother figures who play such an important role in the lives of our students. Mother’s Day celebrations took place across our college, with a variety of thoughtful and joy-filled activities designed to spoil our mums and say thank you for all that they do.
We once again hosted our much-loved whole-school Mother’s Day Breakfast, where mums, grandmothers and special guests were welcomed onto our primary campus to share time, food and conversation with their children, staff and families. The breakfast created a wonderful sense of community, with smiles, laughter and appreciation evident throughout the morning. We loved having our secondary students and families join us!
A special highlight was the Year Two Mother’s Day Liturgy, where students led a beautiful and reverent celebration focusing on love, gratitude and faith. Through prayers, songs and reflections, students honoured their mothers and acknowledged the everyday sacrifices they make. The liturgy was a meaningful moment for families to pause and reflect together, with us moving into >>>> season, we celebrated this on country in our Holy Place.
Our Primary Clontarf students also proudly hosted Mother’s Day morning teas, warmly welcoming their mums and caregivers and expressing their appreciation through shared food and conversation. These gatherings provided an opportunity for students to give back and show the respect and gratitude that sits at the heart of the Clontarf program.
Across our classrooms, students from Pre-K to Year 6 took part in a range of creative and heartfelt activities, including making cards, writing messages, creating artwork and sharing special moments with their mums. These small but meaningful gestures were a powerful reminder of the strong bonds between families and the College.
