Our school has been buzzing with excitement as students took part in a friendly but competitive UNO Competition, designed to encourage participation, teamwork, and connection across year groups.
The competition ran across a week, with each day dedicated to a house battle:
- Monday – Barbier House faced off
- Tuesday – O’Brien House took the spotlight
- Wednesday – Rice House brought the energy
- Thursday – Ward House battled it out
Students earned points for their faction by participating, and it was wonderful to see such an enthusiastic turnout. The UNO tables were full of laughter, friendly rivalry, and great sportsmanship as students bonded not only within their own factions, but also with peers from other year levels.
On the final day, the winners from each house came together to compete against one another in a final showdown. The atmosphere was electric, and it was so rewarding to see our school community come together in such a positive and inclusive way.
The excitement doesn’t stop there! The six overall winners will now have the opportunity to verse the college high school students, who recently ran the same competition. Bragging rights are officially on the line!
We can’t wait to find out….. who will be crowned the ultimate UNO champions at St Mary’s College?
