Our Year 2 Janun students gathered together to share a special “Last Supper” meal as we celebrated the conclusion of our Eucharist unit, as part of our Religious Education learning area. Students enjoyed sharing Body of Christ (bread) and Blood of Christ (wine), or for our celebration, red cordial, whilst reflecting on the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples.

Throughout this unit of work, students explored the meaning and importance of the Eucharist within our Catholic faith. We learnt about the structure and significance of Mass, the ways Catholics remember and celebrate Jesus during the Eucharist, and how Jesus shows love, welcome and service to others. Students also developed their understanding of the symbols and actions used during Mass, including bread and wine, and how these remind us of Jesus’ presence and sacrifice.

This special celebration provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect their learning to faith and community, while sharing together in a joyful way. We have the very best staff, ensuring hands on learning to ensure meaningful and memorable learning.
