In Week 9, a group of talented St Mary’s College students proudly represented our College at the Interschool Spelling Bee, hosted by Cable Beach Primary School.
Our representatives earned their place at the competition after achieving the top results in their respective year-level divisions at the St Mary’s College Spelling Bee in Week 8. Students competed across the Year 2, Years 3–4 and Years 5–6 categories, bringing together some of our strongest young spellers.
While the competition provided an opportunity to showcase their spelling skills, it was their attitude and sportsmanship that made us especially proud. Our students listened carefully, followed instructions, gave each challenge their very best effort and showed genuine respect and encouragement towards their fellow competitors.
Competing against students from other schools is a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, resilience and a love of learning. We congratulate all of our St Mary’s representatives on their efforts and the wonderful way they represented our College.
Well done to our Spelling Bee team! We are very proud of you.
