The Interschool Swimming Carnival, on Wednesday 1 April at BRAC, saw students from St Mary’s College compete against Broome Senior High School and Derby District High School, for a fantastic day of racing, teamwork, and school spirit!
A huge thank you to Derby District High School for making the trip — their team was bigger than ever this year, adding to the excitement and strong competition across all events. The atmosphere was buzzing, with students cheering each other on, stepping up to fill races, and giving their all in the pool.
Congratulations to all schools on a great day of competition:

Despite the heat, students stayed positive, enjoyed a refreshing splash between events, and showed impressive determination in every race. It was wonderful to see swimmers pushing themselves, supporting their teammates, and representing SMC with pride.

Both swimmers delivered outstanding performances across multiple events.
A big thank you to Brooke Bennett, Steve Gregory, and Riley Duncan for organising, coordinating, and supporting the team throughout the day. Your hard work ensured everything ran smoothly and our students enjoyed a memorable carnival.
The day was full of smiles, fast finishes, and plenty of heart — a true celebration of school spirit and teamwork.
