St Mary’s College students had plenty to celebrate at the Youth on Health Festival (YOHFEST) Broome Heats, receiving three Certificates of Merit and a Healthway Award for their Drama performances.
YOHFEST brings together young people from across Western Australia to explore health and wellbeing through the arts. This year’s theme, Health is Wealth, invited students to share their ideas and stories through creative performance.
The True Art of Social Media received a Certificate of Merit for Strong Characterisations, recognising the students’ work in bringing their characters of life. The Price of Wealth was recognised for A Well Crafted Plot Line, while The Strongest Still Bleeds received a Certificate of Merit for Excellence Stage Presence.
The Strongest Still Bleeds was also named the Healthway Award Winner for its Effective Exploration of the Theme – Health is Wealth.
Congratulations to all students involved. Preparing and performing their work for an audience took creativity, commitment and courage, and we are proud to see their efforts recognised at the Broome Heats.
