Mr Aaron’s Year 9 Science students have been investigating phototropism, exploring how plants respond to sunlight and how light affects their growth. Working in the greenhouse, students have been observing plant development while also testing important abiotic factors in the growing environment, including water pH, temperature and salinity. By collecting and analysing data, students are gaining a deeper understanding of how environmental conditions influence plant health and growth.
This hands-on activity has provided a great opportunity for students to apply their scientific skills in a real-world setting – not to mention their new found love for factors contributing to their plant growing the quickest and greatest!
