On Tuesday, 5th May, students and staff came together to celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice, honouring the life and legacy of a man whose vision for education and compassion continues to inspire communities around the world.
The day was marked by a strong sense of unity, reflection, and service. Beginning with a Mass, Secondary students and Primary students from Years 3-6, gathered reverently in the Nulungu Chapel, with Edmund Rice’s message of dignity, inclusion, and justice resonating throughout the Mass.
Following the mass, students spent time connecting with their Rice House, taking part in activities such as tug of war and leaderball with their peers, and enjoyed a delicious cake! Laughter and team work were on full display as students across primary and secondary mingled and built lasting connections.
Rice Feast Day was a special opportunity to celebrate not only the legacy of Edmund Rice but also the strong sense of unity within our school. We look forward to celebrating together again next year!
