St Mary’s College came together to celebrate the wonderful fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, carers and positive male role models in our community at our annual Father’s Day Breakfast and celebrations. The morning provided a special opportunity for students and families from Kindergarten to Year 12 to gather, connect and acknowledge the important male figures who enrich our lives through their love, guidance and support.
Our Year 1 students proudly led the school assembly, sharing their enthusiasm and helping to make the celebration even more memorable for families and guests. Their confidence, joy and appreciation for the special men in their lives brought many smiles to the audience. Following Assembly, Our Year 6 students celebrated Mass with Fr Liam at Nulungu Chapel, offering prayers and gratitude for the fabulous fellas in our lives. The Mass was a meaningful reminder of the important role fathers and father figures play in nurturing, encouraging and walking alongside our young people as they grow in faith, learning and life.
The breakfast and activities provided a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together and celebrate the relationships that help build a strong and connected community. It was a fitting reminder that fathers and male role models make a significant difference in the lives of our students through their care, encouragement and example. We extend our sincere thanks to all the families who joined us for this special celebration and helped make the morning such a success.
A special thank you also goes to our dedicated staff and the St Mary’s College Parents and Friends Association (P&F) for working together to create a warm and welcoming event for everyone. Your generosity, organisation and commitment to building community are deeply appreciated.
As a College community, we are grateful for the many men who support, encourage and inspire our students each day. We wish all our fathers and father figures a very happy Father’s Day and thank you for the important role you play in the lives of our young people.
