Four senior students from St Mary’s College had the privilege of attending the Broome Chamber of Commerce & Industry Women’s Leadership Forum last week as guests of INPEX, accompanied by Director of Wellbeing, Miss Melita Waters.
The annual forum brings together women from across the Kimberley to celebrate leadership, resilience, and the vital economic contributions women make in our region. With a strong focus on empowerment and removing barriers to professional growth, the event encourages young women to see themselves as future leaders and changemakers.
Students heard from a dynamic lineup of speakers – trailblazers who have overcome gender inequality and adversity to build influential careers. Their stories of courage, innovation, and determination left a strong impression, with the students describing the speakers as both inspiring and entertaining.
The experience offered valuable insight into the possibilities available to young women in regional communities and the importance of confidence and connection in shaping future pathways.
