Our Year 6 students recently returned from an incredible camp experience in Perth, and we couldn’t be prouder of them! Their behaviour throughout the trip was exceptional, with several members of the public commenting on how respectful, polite, and responsible they were. They truly represented St Mary’s College with pride.
We were also blessed with fantastic weather, which made every activity even more enjoyable. From the moment we arrived at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp, students settled in quickly and embraced the camp routines. Over the week, they explored some of Perth’s most iconic locations, including Parliament House, Kings Park, Boola Bardip WA Museum, Scitech, and the Perth Mint, where the gold pour demonstration was a highlight! Other favourites included bouncing at Bounce, playing at Wellington Square, and touring Optus Stadium. The final evening at Cicerello’s Fremantle was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable adventure.
A huge thank you goes to all the teachers and staff who made this camp possible. Your planning, care, and dedication ensured every student had a safe, fun, and enriching experience. We also thank our families for their support and trust in making this milestone event happen.
Year 6, you did us proud!
